Reporting to the Vice President of Technology, the database administrator will be responsible for migrating our databases to the cloud (AWS). You will be working with a team of highly talented software engineers in an effort to develop practical scalable solutions through existing or new applications.  Once migration is complete, we will move agressibely towards AWS DB Technologies.

Your Rhythm:

  • Develop Oracle database instances in a variety of environments
  • Proven experience supporting OLTP on a Unix/Linux platform
  • Passion around security is a must
  • Familiarity implementing and validating optimization improvements
  • Experience with “top-to-bottom” management of a database, from user administration to capacity planning

 

Your Composition:

  • 7+ years experience working within an Oracle environment, preferably 11G and beyond
  • 3+ years experience working within an agile methodology
  • 3+ years AWS Oracle RDS experience
  • 3+ years of Golden Gate exposure
  • 3+ years of database resource improvements
  • 1+ years of Unix or Linux experience
  • 1+ years working with Oracle support
  • 1+ years experience in shell scripting
  • 1+ years of experience using Jira, Bitbucket, and GIT
  • Superior knowledge of general database administration
  • Familiarity of backup and recovery techniques
  • Exposure to problem resolution for production databases within an enterprise environment
  • Knowledge of other database technologies, such as PostgreSQL
  • Sound understanding of Oracle backup and restore procedures using golden gate, basic storage replication & data retention practices.
  • Experience with financial platforms focused on PCI, a plus
  • AWS certifications, a plus
