We have this crazy, thrill-seeking goal to revolutionize banking by using scientific methods, algorithms and systems to extract knowledge and insights using the data we have access.  To meet this goal, we're seeking a Business Intelligence (BI) Product Manager to help us examine which questions need answering and where to find the data that can provide the insights that will meet the business needs within and beyond the banking industry in new and innovate ways.

You'll be responsible for creating data-driven products and services that meet and exceed industry expectations and demands. The BI Product Manager ensures our data products are designed and built to high standards, are easy for clients to both understand and consume, and are solving real problems in the marketplace. The BI Product Manager must possess a combination of business acumen and analytical skills as well as the ability to mine, clean, and present the data.   

The BI Product Manager must understand how data science is accelerating and disrupting businesses and apply that knowledge to conduct market research and create new business models and channels for Apiture through the use of data analytics. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Identify opportunities to solve real-word problems using data
  • Work with Development team to translate user stories into actual specifications
  • Apply product management, industry, and market expertise to brainstorm and create additional use-cases for data and analytics
  • Make product roadmap recommendations and have overall ownership of Business Intelligence as a product. Prioritize work and make strategic decisions on cutting or adding features during the development cycle
  • Work with marketing team to develop a marketing plan for our new line of Business Intelligence products
  • Own all documentation including documents for developer support, security, sales, sales training, marketing as needed
  • Create monetization strategy for Business Intelligence


Your ride:

  • In the first 30 days, you’ll have worked hand in hand with our architecture team and product team to fully understand where we are, where we're going, and earned an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner credential.
  • In the first 90 days, you'll have developed a road map and worked hand-in-hand with the development to see your vision coming to fruition.
  • In the first year, you will have helped to create a robust portfolio of  data and business intelligence products including standard reports, industry trending information, and tools that allow our customers to be better understand their business, their customers and the market at large.
  • We have the lofty goal of being the leader in the industry and the go-to-company for information about the banking and financial technology industry and being quoted in industry journals and trade publications.
