Summary:

The Events Intern will support Apiture’s internal and external events, including, quarterly business reviews,) executives retreat, onsite prospect visits, and industry conferences/tradeshows. This candidate will assist with a wide range of event logistics, through in-office planning and onsite support at internal events that take place at Wilmington HQ. They will play a significant role in preparing Apiture team members for event participation. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, attention to detail and able to hit the ground running in a fast-moving environment. 

The Events Intern should be prepared to wear multiple hats and support many segments of the Apiture business. The ideal candidate is execution oriented, self-motivated, and a self-starter. The internship will run from early August into November.

 

Location:

This role will be based out of our Wilmington, NC office but we are open to regionally remote candidates.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with other members of the Apiture Events team to provide logistical support for internal and external events
  • Work with vendors to book rooms, ship items, order materials in preparation for events
  • Effectively communicate event plans, deadlines, and expectations with event attendees
  • Identify booth requirements, such as power, internet, monitors, etc., and book with venue
  • Source venues for dinners and happy hours
  • Maintain Apiture’s annual event calendar
  • Attend internal events to provide on-site support as needed

  • Performs other duties as required 

 

Requirements:

  • A rising junior or senior pursuing a degree in business, marketing, communications or related field
  • Must be organized and detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple projects at once
  • A strong written and verbal communicator, comfortable working across teams to accomplish tasks
  • Strong deadline orientation
  • Ability to work independently to accomplish goals
