Product Designer 

 

We are an open API banking platform, focused on creating cutting-edge technology for financial institutions. Our platform enables the fast and flexible deployment of banking features—mobile-focused, user-centric, convenient and secure.  

 

POSITION SUMMARY 

We’re hiring a product designer to join our in-house team at Apiture. If you enjoy exploring user needs, working iteratively, and making an impact in a fast-paced startup environment, we want to hear from you. 

 

As a designer at Apiture, you'll be responsible for working with cross-functional product teams to solve design problems. We're looking for a flexible thinker who can take the right approach depending on the project and isn't afraid of trying something new. Your work will definitely include creating visual UI mockups and clickable prototypes, but might also include organizing user research, leading design sprints, and a variety of activities involving post-it notes. 

 

EXPERIENCE 

  • 2+ years designing apps or software  
  • Experience using Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD (We use Sketch + Invision) 
  • Experience working with an Agile development team 

 

SKILLS 

  • Visual design for web including RWD 
  • Visual design for native mobile apps for iOS or Android 
  • Familiarity with user-centric design processes 
  • Growth mindset with a desire to continue broadening their UX skills 

EDUCATION 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred 

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS:  

  • Vision, hearing, speech, movements requiring the use of wrists, hands and/or fingers  
  • Able to sit, stand, stoop and bend  
  • The ability to work the days and hours required to fulfill the essential functions of the position  
  • The ability to sustain work for several hours and to multitask  

 

MENTAL DEMANDS:  

  • Learning, thinking, concentration  
  • The ability to interact with others and exercise self-control  
  • The ability to work under stressful conditions, particularly in customer situations  
  • The ability to make decisions and exercise discretion, when necessary
